Reflexology:
You will be so happy you have discovered Reflexology. This beautiful and beneficial therapy of working with the feet for overall health has been practised for centuries in many cultures and healing traditions across the world. It was only the early 20th century that Reflexology became known and practised in the West. Since then it has become a popular treatment for overall health as well as supporting management of and recovery from various conditions.
Reflexology is a gentle hands on treatment in which the therapist provides a whole body treatment by applying targeted massage techniques to the client’s feet. Reflexology is a deeply relaxing and versatile treatment that can support the management of and recovery from a range of conditions, as well as supporting those who simply wish to relax, soothe tired feet, and nurture their overall health.
How Does It Work?
All the body’s organs and systems have reflex points in our feet. This allows the Reflexologist to access the specific body parts and systems that are connected to the symptoms that the client wishes to address - all entirely through their feet. A Reflexology treatment can also be applied to a person’s hands, ears or face, or a combination of these, if the feet are not accessible.
Importantly, in addition to addressing prevailing symptoms, Reflexology approaches the body as an integrated holistic system, activating all reflex points on the feet in order to stimulate the body's innate healing capacity, balance the nervous system and improve overall circulation. Reflexology is suitable for people of all ages.

For those wishing to address a specific issue such as hormonal balance, digestion issues or sleep issues for example, a course of 4-6 treatments is generally recommended. During the course of treatments the Reflexologist will provide recommendations for some easy, self-care practices the client can employ at home in order to maximise the impacts of the course.
